Have Faith in the Journey
I don't even know how many years I've gone to
Girls Camp - I've lost count. I just remember when
I went to camp when Delaney was little I hoped I would
be able to go with her when she was in Young Women's.
It's really fun to be able to go with her!
I'm not so sure she feels the same about me
being there - I hope so.
The 4th & 5th year girls left a day early
to go up and help the stake leaders.
Here's Delaney with her cute braids -
we braid it like this every year.
Here we are on the hike near Mammoth Cave.
It was a hot, dusty day!
I was the camp director this year, and I really
like to have our own camp theme. I decided on
a Hawaiian theme. I made a special tent
called the "Mahana Hut" where the girls go
in by themselves, listen to music and read some
special thoughts. I had pictures of Mahana from
Johnny Lingo in there too.
We all got lei's and flowers for our hair.
One night for dinner we had hawaiian haystacks.
YuMmY!!
Delaney LOVES it when I hug her for photos!!
We did an "Alice in Wonderland" theme for our
skit - Delaney was Queen of Hearts.
They did a great job!
Me & Wendy - my little shadow.
Wendy was my girls camp buddy!
She got everyone dancing like crazy -
it was lots of fun. Wendy is also a
cheerleader this year with Delaney and is
doing a great job!
"Mahana, you ugly!"
...became a 10 cow wife!
