Kelsie's Birthday Vegas Trip

Kelsie's 18!
Okay, so we've been talking about this trip
since Kelsie found out that New Moon
would be released on her birthday!
Kelsie's play "Into the Woods" was on
her birthday. She played the narrator,
and not only did a great job, but she
looked beautiful!
Kaylie made Kelsie this cool book
to hold her script. And Terry gave
her these pretty pink roses after the play.
He also took her to lunch and got her
a new cell phone.
The next day we left after Delaney's
b-ball practice. Kelsie invited Kaylie,
and Delaney invited Shelby. We stopped at
Durango's (our fav!) for dinner.
We were all starving!
When we checked into our room
we noticed that we were all on our
phones... ha ha We got in our jammies
and watched a movie.
The next day we drove around Vegas and
did some shopping. And since Shelby had never
been to Vegas, we had to stop at the famous
"Welcome to Vegas" sign! Then we hooked
up with my sister Kristin, who drove us around
in "local" fashion: accelerate & honk!
We had an early dinner before we
went to get in line for New Moon.
I had already bought our tickets online
a month ago, so we just got in line.
We were first in line.
Everyone told us we'd need to be there
several hours early, but we didn't need to.
There were plenty of seats, but it was
fun anyway...
While we were in line Krissie & I checked
out eachother's iTouch & iPhone. The
movie was really good. Lots 'o bare chests,
and teenage angst. What do you do when
you're in love with a vampire AND a werewolf??
After the movie we checked out the night
life. Walked around several of the casinos
so Shelby could see what it was all about.
This is a mini version of the Bellagio.
We made the girls squish up and get ready to
bail out in front of the M&M factory so
we didn't have to park. At this point
we were pretty punchy and everything
was really funny. You know how that is?
At about 1 am, we hit the
Cheesecake Factory.
We all shared a pizza and a few
pieces of cheescake - delicious!
This was Kelsie's special birthday
coconut cheesecake.
It was really fun for me to spend this time with
the girls. Time goes by so fast that I
know I'll really treasure these memories.
I hope they had fun, too.Happy birthday Kelsie!
We love you!
