Smoky Mountain Ride

Here we are getting ready to head out on
a ride with Terry's parents. We've all been
anxious to go on a ride to a new place...
We decided on the Smoky Mountain Road
out by Big Water.
There were some cool formations that
looked a little like Stone Henge.
We couldn't believe all the different colors
of rocks we saw! All these were collected
within a 20 foot area.
Terry & Mason stopping to explore
the maze of rocks. Mason loved all the
places to hide, but I was worried about
rattle snakes, so it made me a little nervous!
More rocks to check out!
We had fun climbing around on them.
Mason kept asking me, "Mom, are you too
fat to fit in between these rocks?"
I was glad that I DID fit between all of them!
What says "Rebel Rider" more than
Tigger sunglasses?
We saw this cool leopard lizard
sunning on a dark rock. He let us get
right up close to check him out.
Can you say "Allergies"?
The rabbit brush was blooming like
crazy, so I was sneezing like crazy!
But they sure are pretty...
There were lots of cool
rock formations.
This is the location of the
Wahweap Fish Hatchery that they
use to stock Lake Powell.
