Youth Conference

This year our Stake went to St George for
Youth Conference.
I think the kids were happy to go somewhere
other than camping and roughing it. We stayed
in the dorms at Dixie College and went to
a bunch of fun activities.
It was fun for me to have Kelsie, Kalin, and Delaney
all there! I got to room with Kelsie. Here's our car load all packed up and heading out...
Terry was up at the U of U taking some classes for
work so I dropped off Mason at
Grandma Ford's on the way out.
The first night after we checked into our rooms and
went to orientation, we all went to Footloose at Tuacahn.
It was really fun!
This is all the girls from our ward - a really fun group!
We also watched the entertainment before the show:
mechanical bull riding!
Waiting for the show to start...
Annie is also showing at Tuacahn...
Kalin and other boys from 3rd & 4th Ward.
On the second day we went to the St George
Temple and did baptisms for the dead.
Then we went to the visitor center and
watched the Joseph Smith movie - a very
humbling reminder of what he went through
restoring the gospel to the earth.
The girls waiting at the temple entrance.
After the temple we went to the Ropes Course
at Staheli Farms. Here's Kelsie swinging on a
rope with her team cheering her on!
Kalin on someone's shoulders
waiting for his turn to swing over to the
other pallet (not as easy as you would think!).
Delaney getting thrown up over the wall.
Everyone had to make it over the wall!
We had a fun day at the Ropes Course,
although the kids weren't too sure about
the close contact with everyone.
(am I really that short?!)
Our whole group ready to head
back to dinner and then the POOL!
The next day we had some speakers
and testimony meeting, then headed home.

Once again, I missed out. Looks like lots of fun. Was that a blonde Kylee Adams?

Oh the memories of YOUTH CONFRENCE!! It looks like you guys had a real fun time! I was always roughing it and never got to go to St. George. But thats ok, I think no matter where you go you'll have fun if you want, or you'll hate it if you want to. That is so fun that you get to be in YW with your girls, I hope I am when my kids get there too.
