Finally updating!
Christmas is right around the corner!
Terry always does a great job hanging the lights. Our house looks great - thanks sweetie! Now if the wind would quit blowing them up on top of the roof! It's been really windy lately. We're almost ready for the big day!
Mason with the Szymanski & Peatross kids working their magic on their very own gingerbread houses. Every year our neighbors, the Youngs, invite the whole neighborhood to their house (in shifts) for dinner. They make several kinds of soup - it is always delicious, and it's so fun to see everyone and get to visit. They also have a fun craft for the kids to make in their basement - it is always a big hit! They also have an incredible playhouse - Mason never wants to leave!
Jocee and Gavin with their houses. Gavin, this one's for you (and for your mom to steal the picture!). He really wanted his picture taken.
Here are the girls' masterpieces. They did a great job!
Here we are at Kanab's first annual Light Parade. The first entry was a diesel from SWATC that I helped decorate. It was really big and took a lot of lights. Luckily the high school auto class volunteered to climb on top of it to put on the lights - I couldn't even watch because it was scary!
Delaney with her friends Shelby, Whitni and Maddie. And of course Mason terrorizing them.
THANKSGIVING!
Mason's class had a "Thanksgiving Feast" at school. I went to help that day - the kids made several crafts (here is the turkey that Mason made), and then feasted upon wheat bread, applesauce and milk. They all got to go up on stage and say what they're thankful for. Mason said he was thankful for Christmas. It was a really fun day! Kindergartners are so cute - and so busy! Mrs. DeMille is a very patient lady.
Mason made this little pilgrim guy at school - his face looks oddly familiar...
We had Thanksgiving dinner at our house. My parents, Melinda & Kristin and their families came. Kathleen & Keri couldn't make it this year - we missed them! The cousins had a fun time together. I think Hayley, Katy and Delaney are ready to graduate the the "grown-up" table.
Pilgrim Mason & Indian Bailey did a fashion show for us.
We all had such a fun time preparing all the food and just hanging out. The turkey turned out so good there was hardly any leftovers!
The day after Thanksgiving we all headed down to my parents to finish landscaping their yard. We put in the sprinkler system this summer, so it was time to tear up the old grass and add the plants and drippers. Rich has a landscaping business in Cedar so he has all the equipment and knows lots of shortcuts. It had been stormy so we were afraid we wouldn't be able to do it - but it cleared up and ended up being a perfect day!
