Last week the golf team drove up to Soldier Hollow for the State Golf Tournament. The top 5 guys that qualified were Kade Shakespear, Jordan Jones, Nate Hannig, Kalin, and Cristian Jenson (he met them in SL). Terry really enjoys coaching golf and getting to know the kids on the team - they're all really good kids with great personalities and lots of talent & leadership skills. 
It's been especially fun now that Kalin's on the team. Kalin did pretty well his first year, and shot a 102 at State! Good job Kalin!
Terry's dad has helped out a lot coaching this year, and went to State with the team. The kids have learned a lot from him and had a great time goofing around with him. They knick-named him "Papa Bear" (I wonder why?). I think it's been really fun for Kalin to be with his dad & grandpa golfing and just hanging out.
Here they are heading out. Kade's mom Brenda made each of them a Halloween Monster bag full 'O treats to chow down on for the road - that was really nice of her! And Terry's friends Rob & Gary surprised them at the course and golfed with them the last day of the tourney - anything for an excuse to golf! ;) Next year I'm sure Kalin's cousin Austin will be at State, too.SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS
Last week Mason went on his first Kindergarten field trip! They went to see the animals at Best Friends. He had a fun time with his friends and was sure glad to have dad along for the ride, too (just in case he got scared!).
Kennedie, Kierra and Dad went on a field trip to Zion a few months ago. It was REALLY hot but they had a great time! They learned about the early Indians in that area - how they lived, and what their homes were like. They also saw a movie at the IMax, and had a picnic lunch.
