Warm Springs (before)
So we were really excited when we heard that
the McArthur Reunion would be held at
Warm Springs, NV
We've heard so much about it and have
always wanted to go. We thought it would be
fun to stay in Vegas the night before so we
could spend some time together as a family
swimming and having fun. Then go to Warm
Springs the next day - perfect plan, right?
Warm Springs (after fire)
WRONG! Wouldn't you know it . . .
There was a fire just a week before the reunion
so they closed it - dang!
But since we already had reservations that
we couldn't cancel, we went to Vegas anyway.
Yeah, so it was a *little* warm in Vegas...
We went grocery shopping before we went
to the condo, and let's just say
that Delaney was a little pesky at the store.
This sign was PERFECT.
The kids had a great time swimming,
and had fun with Krissie, Geoff, and their kids.
Floating the lazy river... heaven!!
On 3. Ready? 1 - 2 - 3
Okay, so it's nearly impossible to get us all
looking in the same direction at the same time!
So instead of Warm Springs, we all went to
Terry's Uncle Harv's cabin at Pine Valley.
It was a beautiful day and we had a fun time
seeing everyone - the McArthur's are great!
Grandpa McArthur was quite a man - and left a
wonderful legacy. He wrote many poems and
stories that we all cherish. This one is about missing
his dear wife, Fae, who had passed away.
While getting ready for a pie-eating contest
Uncle Jeff was treated to a shirt full of whip cream
courtesy of Jillian. Don't you just hate pay backs?
Pie eating contest - it was a riot!!
Mason's tooth was loose and was bugging him.
He just kept messing with it...
Kelsie cut her finger and it kept bugging her.
He just couldn't take it anymore so he
yanked it out!
(Don't worry, Kelsie kept her finger!)
Watermelon seed spitting contest.
We were all getting a little tuckered after
a long weekend in the sun.
But we had a lot of fun!!
I sure love my family!
