Happy Birthday Kennedie & Kierra

It's become a tradition that we go to lunch

with our birthday kids, which is really fun!

So we ate school lunch with

Kennedie & Kierra.

We thought about bringing them something

else instead, but we knew they really like

chicken salad at school lunch.

So we took them each a snickerdoodle

for dessert!

This year they thought it would be fun to have

separate parties! So we did!

After Kennedie's party at Jill & Jay's,

where they had dinner,

we picked up the girls for

Kierra's Pirate Party

Aaarrrggggg!

We took the girls on a treasure hunt!

Are ye ready for our voyage to start?

'Tis no place for the faint of heart,

Come aboard the Golden Pearl,

And soon ye become a Pirate Girl...

We now set sail to find the booty,

Let's have fun, it'll be a hooty!

The first clue that me mateys must seek,

'Tis where me fair lady spends her week.

And at SWATC they found a treasure chest

with their pirate girl costume stuff.

Me buckos have done very well,

Another clue ye Cap'n will tell.

Look ye for a mound of rocks,

Where water tumbles and there be no docks.

Ye may see lads swingin' sticks at balls,

In this land of grass next to the falls.

We sent them around town to find

some other clues, then ended up at home.

The booty there be and many treasure to be had,

To Kierra and gang, from Kim and ye Dad!
They especially liked this one:

Pirate girls, ye are me lovely lassies,

May pirate food never give ye the gassies!

(Okay, really, I think Terry had WAAAY too

much fun writing these clues!) And at home they found the

Mother Lode!
All the party games, movies,
chocolate coins, candy, and
Pirate Truth or Dare.

Blowing out the candles...
Ya better be telling the TRUTH,
Doin' the DARE,
Or Walkin' the plank!

We also played MAFIA!
In the morning we had a breakfast of
their requested eggs, bacon, & toast.
Then they played some more...

Then we had a family party

with all the kids.

We gave them jewelry boxes.

For dinner they wanted homemade pizza...

(this is the one that Kalin made)

And big, soft, hot cookies & ice cream

for dessert!
