Phantom

The music students from the high school went to Phantom last week and I was able to go! I think it's great they have such a great teacher that arranges this kind of trip so the kids can experience this caliber of performance. It was incredible! I saw Phantom at Capital Theater in Salt Lake several years ago, and it was wonderful, but the Vegas version was unreal!
I spent half of the trip on the Fresh/Soph bus sitting by Kalin, and half of the trip on the Jun/Sen bus with Kelsie. And the rest of the time my bus-mate was Kristine, a friend of mine for over 25 years. We had a great time hanging out and talking.
It was fun to spend some time with Kelsie & Kalin and their friends. Kelsie's performing group "Xpress" sang and entertained everyone on the way which was great! They're really good!
Kristin met us there and got to go with us to Phantom - I'm glad she was able to join us! The chandelier was AMAZING! I can't believe how wonderful the set, the orchestra, and the talent was! Since we had such a big group, after the show we were able to go to a Q & A with the cast. We met Christine, Rauol, and Carlotta, and learned quite a bit about the behind the scenes action and what their jobs were like. It was really cool!
Afterward we got right on the bus and headed home. We got home at 3:30 AM so morning came pretty fast! Being brain-dead the next day was worth it though, I'd love to go again!
